J/C. J/P. C/P. Take your pick. IDIC.
Pulling on my uniform jacket, I study the couple lying on the bed I'm standing next to, and my movements still.
It shouldn't surprise me that they're wrapped around each other; that even asleep they would gravitate together. It shouldn't and it doesn't.
That doesn't make it any less disappointing.
Oh I knew what I was getting in to last night. They were both drunk and I should have known better. Everyone knows what Neelix's fermented fruit juice does to her. I'm not exactly sure why the idea popped into my head but it did. I was simply watching her and Chakotay trying not to pull each others clothes off - it was obvious neither of them were completely coherent of what they were doing. And suddenly I just had to know. I had to ask.
I found out.
It was interesting. I've only been with a real couple once before - as opposed to holographic couples - and they were both women. This was certainly more interesting, and I think probably even more enjoyable.
She mutters something in her sleep and sighs, a breast peeking over the edge of the blanket barely covering them. Either he hears or it's just instinctive, but in response his arms wraps around her a little tighter.
They really are very sweet together, and I feel almost proud that I was instrumental in helping them *finally* get it together. Of course I have no idea if it's going to last beyond last night but I have a feeling there'll be a lot for them to talk about when they wake. It'll be awkward and uncomfortable enough with just the two of them - which is why I have to leave.
It's funny, I guess. I'd always wondered what it would be like with him. I don't even need to close my eyes to remember each part of his body I'd licked, nibbled, bitten. Oh, but he liked that. He liked that a lot.
Sighing, I try to ignore the tightening around my groin and shift my gaze to her.
She was no big mystery, thanks to a single encounter years ago. I was curious, I suppose, to see if she was still the same. There were a few subtle differences, but that could well be attributed to his presence. I guess I'll never know for sure now because I know that after this the odds of me ever being close to her again are smaller than the odds that Chakotay will never crash another shuttle craft before we get back to Earth.
I'll go about my duties as they will, and no doubt we'll all adopt the 'it never happened' attitude.
Perhaps to the holodeck then. Running programmes involving images of the crew for your own purposes violates about twenty regulations, but then it's not something I haven't already done twenty times before.
